Terra is a fictional character appearing in DC Comics, most notably associated with the Teen Titans. Her first appearance was in New Teen Titans #26 (December 1982).
Terra Markov is a young geo-kinetic, possessing the power to control earth and stone. She is the illegitimate daughter of the King of Markovia and half-sister to Geo-Force.
Introduced as a member of the Teen Titans, Terra harbored a dark secret. She was a spy working for Deathstroke, manipulating the team from within. Her unstable personality and ultimate betrayal had a devastating impact on the Titans, particularly Beast Boy who was close to her. In a climactic battle, Terra seemingly dies using her powers, burying herself and several enemies under tons of rock.
The character has been resurrected and re-imagined in various storylines throughout DC Comics history, often exploring themes of redemption and the consequences of her actions.
